Core Desire #2: Show Me the Money

Welcome back to the DESIRE IS LIFE//LIFE IS DESIRE Mini-Series.

The intention of this mini-series is to spark your curiosity, give you a taste of the ancient tantric path to wholeness via the 4-Core Desires, and wet your whistle for deeper work with me…

Series Cliff-Notes:

The Feminine Path of Desire (Series Cliff-Notes)

1. A woman cannot be truly happy or fulfilled unless she is aligned with her desires.

2.A woman cannot fulfill her desires until she awakens and build her shakti. (Email #1)

3. The first of the 4-Core Desires, Dharma, is unlocked in learning to trust what lights you up. (Email #2)

My mom said to me, “You know sweetheart, one day you should settle down and marry a rich man. ” And I said, “Mom – I am a rich man.”

Core Desire #2: Artha

WHAT IS ARTHA?

If our first core-desire is discovering our PURPOSE, our second core-desire is the means to fulfill that purpose.

(Ahem, SHOW ME THE MONEY)

Artha encompasses the pursuit of material prosperity and the resources necessary for a meaningful and purposeful life.

Artha is the desire for the physical well-being, practical support, material resources and MONEY without which makes fulfilling your purpose impossible.

If Dharma is poetic and soulful, the desire for Artha is a counterbalance, being both practical, earthy and pragmatic.

(This is one of the reasons why the 4-Core Desires of Tantra is such a powerful path to Wholeness, and why women who have done this workshop and have created their own roadmap say it is both elevating and supremely grounding).

It's great to know your purpose, but without getting clear on your personal artha, your purpose dies on the vine.

Too many woman have sacrificed their dharma, because they were conditioned to reject their artha.

As it turns out, money is a very important element to doing your soul-work in the world.

But not just money-- Artha also refers to ALL the means necessary to fulfill your soul's destiny.

For instance, if part of my soul's dharma is to live a life of romance and adventure, with the time-freedom to live and work anywhere in the world, helping other women embody their feminine wholeness, than part of my artha is to take seriously the business skills necessary to successfully organize, market and sell my gifts/services to the world.

Included in artha are the healing tools and embodiment skills I've learned, developed and continue to use daily that support my all-around well-being. These are tools that enhance my physical and financial well-being, which ultimately serves my dharma.

Same goes for you.

  • If you feel a deep calling to be a musician, the means to afford a musical instrument and the time to practice become part of you artha.

  • If you know you are meant to write a book, the creative time and space required to write are part of your artha.

  • If one of the things that brings you a deep sense of purpose and happiness is helping others heal or thrive, but your business around that dharma is struggling, than learning how to more effectively market your offerings and care for yourself as a CEO is part of your artha. (And this limited time offer is for you)

PRACTICAL & PRAGMATIC TIPS TO HONOR ARTHA IN YOU

(From my life to yours)

Up-Level How You Tend To Your Physical Well-Being:

1. Cold Showers: Cold showers boost circulation, revitalize your skin, enhance your immune system, and can also have a profound impact on your mental and emotional well-being. I started experimenting with cold showers and now they've completely replaced my ADHD medication.  Read this article from the Huberman Lab for a science-supported cold shower protocal.

2. Micro-dosing Mushrooms: Key benefits of microdosing psychedelic mushrooms include enhanced cognitive function, improved focus, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Read this article to learn more about the “Stamets Stack” the microdosing protocal my husband and I have been using since 2020.

3. Kundalini Yoga: By activating and balancing the flow of “Kundalini” energy, often described as the dormant spiritual energy within us, you are simultaneously strengthening your nervous system and building your shakti/soul-power. I've been practicing Kundalini yoga off and on since 1998. I'm trained as a teacher and guide you one my favorite foundational kriyas inside Personal Power.

MORE RESOURCES

  1. Listen to the Guided Meditation to Increase Soul Power (Free)

  2. Pick up Happy Pocket Full of Money  & Tapping into Wealth (two of my fave books on healing money issues).

  3. Build Your Personal Power If you want more earning power, the smartest things to do is begin by increasing your inner power. Money is a currency, and energy like sex, God, and love. If you want more of any of those things, you got to increase your nervous system's capacity to handle a bigger charge. The Kundalini practice included in this mighty little course does just that!

Artha is about aligning your desires with material means and building new skill sets to manifest your dreams.

It's also about embracing abundance in all its forms and recognizing that wealth is not inherently evil or selfish.

In fact, when we embrace our desire for wealth and means, we open ourselves up to incredible opportunities to make a more positive impact on the world around us-- through our dharma.

Next week I'll be back with Email #3 in our series (my favorite!!!), the core desire for kama, as in the famous Kama Sutras. What does Kama really mean? Come back next week!

ABOUT MORGAN DAY CECIL

Hello! I'm Morgan. I'm a master embodiment coach, retreat leader and creator of the Feminine Wholeness® Method. I'm also a mother of two teens and I've been married for 14-years. I know the complexities and gifts that come with  motherhood, marriage and a new kind of womanhood.

For the past seven years I've owned a private practice where I support women in the healing work of releasing shame and “Good Girl” conditioning to reclaim sexual and spiritual sovereignty. I do this through an innovative and integrative approach that weaves in ancient tantric wisdom with modern neuroscience, trauma healing, and what I call Sophia's "Technology of Delight."

The work I get to do reconnects women to the bliss of their body, the desires of their heart, and the power of their soul. (And when I'm mentoring new and aspiring coaches… this work also reconnects women to the value of their gifts and the joy in their business! Seeing my clients gain the confidence to show up and shine in their fullest expression is something I am incredibly proud of.  You can learn more about my work in the world here. So glad you are here!
